About Us

foubisou is a (mostly) made-to-order knitwear brand marked by colorful and one-of-a-kind pieces. Every item in my shop is handmade with love by me, Lily Foucault.

Derived from my last name & the french word for ‘crazy’, foubisou is inspired by all things beautiful, silly, & imperfect. Just like the song Zou Bisou Bisou, foubisou evokes a feeling of playfulness, nonchalance, and femininity.

As a self-taught crocheter and lifelong creative, I fell in love with knitwear - a blend of my two passions, fiber arts & fashion - and had a mission to reinvent the way we think about knits (I'm looking at you, granny squares).

After years of trial and error, learning, and honing in on my aesthetic, foubisou was born - in all of its imperfect, DIY glory.

In an increasingly digitized and mechanized world, I am proud to use my two hands to slowly craft garments that can be worn for years to come and passed down for generations. 💖 Welcome to the family.

FAQs

  • Simply purchase the listing you want on this website! The description will always have the info you need to make an informed purchase, including sizing, materials, and fit info.

  • Natural fibers are always prioritized. Many items in my shop are made with wool and silk that I dye myself. Others are made with natural fibers that are ethically sourced. I will always specify what fiber is used on an item listing.

  • Please allow 2-4 weeks for your order to be completed (Although it's usually faster)! 💓 Once completed, shipping takes 3-5 business days.

  • Yes! You can fill out a commission form here. Or, feel free to email me at hello@foubisou.co, or reach out to me on Instagram.

  • When in doubt, hand wash cold and lay flat to dry away from sun.
